Actinic keratoses

Actinic keratoses are precancerous lesions that are the result of prior UV exposure. Each individual lesion has a small chance of converting into an invasive squamous cell carcinoma, so addressing and monitoring these lesions is necessary. Treatments may include localized cryotherapy (liquid nitrogen) or field treatment to entire areas with precancerous potential such as with topical chemo creams.
